Another meeting will be held Monday evening, Oct. 9th, and everybody in the congregation will be urged to attend. Something decissive will be done at that meeting. Do not fail to attend.
OUR EXCURSION. We have de- added to go to Cincinnan over the G. R. & I. Railroad, in special coaches provided by the company, and pet- haps on a special train. We have ad- Vises trom Michigan, Angola and other points north and west of us sig- nitving their intention of joining us, and we have every reason to believe that there will be in the neighborhood ot 150 people and perhaps more. We hope to have a praise service at our church just before starting, and will if the other delegations arrive in time More about this next week.
A COLLECTOR.
Sister Jennie Mccullough has been appointed collector for the church, and she will, in the near future, call upon all in arrears. We hope our people will receive her cordially and respond as they may have opportun- itv.

any better way to determine the effect ot an action?' Would not a little re- flection each time when we are tempted to do or say something, or to neglect a known duty, help us to decide ?
OUR CONVENTION. The Fifth District Convention has come to a close. It was counted a success by all who attended. We are sorry that more of our own people could not have attended, as the sessions were all interesting and helpful. The com- mittees which were appointed list Sunday all chid their work well, and the result was that the delegates were well pleased with the entertamment furnished by the church. We are thankful to all who kindly consented to take delegates, and if any were disappointed in not having anyone to entertain it was because there were not enough to go around.

Those who represented our chinch me D. M. Doyle, Dr. Carrithers Calvin, Mrs. J. W. Mitten, Mrs. E. O. Kover, Mrs. F. Hobbs, Mrs. C. O. Miller, and Mrs. Rice. Bro. Harris and wife and Gilbert Miller represented the Creighton Avenue church. Bio Jno. Dalman and wife and our pastor ex- pect to go on Saturday. Get ready lo hear the reports which will be pre- sented on Lord's Day, Oct. 22nd. We hope to have the convention spirit and enthusiasm at least brought home to us.
Remember the Aid Society Tea Thursday.
AN IMPORTANT MEETING.
The meeting called for last Mon- day evening was quite well attended by the members of the chinch and we believe good results will follow. The committee appointed two weeks before, on ways and means, made a report and after some amendments it was adopted and made maummous. As the matter now stands we have authorized the Financial Board to laise, before the tilteenth of Decem- ber, this year, $$500,00. One that's- and of this is to be seemed from the dedication pledges, now all past due, and the balance $2500,00 to be lared in any manner the Financial Board may decide upon, bin the amounts paid in on the latter ne to be held m trust until the whole amount is re- ceived, when it will be applied to the reduction of om debts as the chinch may diect.
Át a called meeting of the Financial Bond on Tuesday evening it was de- cided to visit the members who are yet in anreais on their dedication pledges and to urge the payment of the same to meet obligations now pressing for payment. This is our first duty and must receive attention at olice.
We believe that the possibilities for success in this undertaking are pright, but it cannot be done without the united cooperation of all. This we must have. It this is accomphsbed it will plice the church on a safe financial basis and the remaining indebtedness can be carned with comparative ease. Let everyone resolve to do his m her part.
Let our young men and young women remember the Sunday School.
