of art. A collection of ivory carvings ix the medieval room is very beautiful and artistic. One entire hall is filled with vises and ornaments of every nation aud age, and the change in style of the dif- fereut periods is a very interesting study. Many of these ancient vases are more beautiful than any we have at the pres- ent day In this hall is a collection of Italian pottery (Majolica) painted in rich colors, which is very heantiful. I was impressed with the few marks of age which many of these articles show.

One bright Sunday morning I went for a walk in Hyde Park and at the north east corner I came upon the Albert me How's This? morial, erected by the Queen in memory We offer One Hundred Dollars Rewan for any case of Catarrh that cannot be cured by Hall's Catarrh Gure. On Oct. 29th the City Imperial Volun- teers returned from South Africa and were tendered a reception by the city. It was a record day, even in this city of crowds, and it took 30,000 Volunteers to keep the line of parade open, and even then it was blocked at several places, Eleven hundred people were injured in tbe crush aml one of the C. I. V.'s re- marked that be would rather help retake Pretoria than go through, that parade again. The city went wild with enthin- siasm and far into the night the streets were filled with people shouting and singing patriotic songs. The police made no effort to restrain them, but good nature is characteristic of a London crowd and il was a'sight worth seeing. Yours truly, C. B. HUSSEY.
