Carpenter, westerly on land of Lawrence McGinnis, contain- ing five acres and three fourths, more or less. "The ceremony of the blessing of throats in commemoration of St. Blase, whose feast day occurred on Saturday, was held at St. Mary's church Sunday afternoon, when Rev. Father Lee and Rev. Father Sullivan blessed the throats of many parishioners.


Founders' day at Dean academy this year, Friday, Feb. 16, will be of especial interest, as Rev. James F. Albion of Malden has been secured to speak on ""The Ultimate Aim of Education," at 2.30 p. m. in the chapel. We shall speak more of this later.


The only difficulty, which accounts for the delay, has been that of agreeing upon a suitable date. It is now expected that the lecture will be given Feb. 21. The Charles L. Stewart, wbo has sold a large number of Orients iu Fraukliu during the past four years, will again represent the company this season, Mr. Stewart already has in a full line of 1900 place of the lecture will be announced
