Word has been received In Spring- fleld of the death of Mix. Caroline Schweitzer, 75,. at Long Beach, Cal .. Friday night. Mrs. Schweitzer wan the widow of the late J. C. Schwelt- zer, Springfield pioneer who came here-shortly-after-the Civil war and was a prominent fruit grower of the region, living on Schweitzer road three miles east of the city, Mr. Bohweltaer died In April, 1926, having gone with his wife to Long Beach In 1918. They are survived by. atx children, Joba H. . and Fred C. of Springfield,. Charkee I. George W. and Mrs. J. E. Watson of Long Beach, and Mrs. I. B. Seston of Red. lands, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. K. K. Kelley of Rogefwille, coroner of, Webster county, is convinced the body js .that of a farm .. laborer of Webster or an adjoining county. The man obviously was not & tramp. he ssid. for - his overalls. and jumper. sheepskin coat and leather cap were nest and clean. There was nothing in his clothing-not a scrap of pa- per or a clothing tag-to Identify bim.
