Gardner-Owens Vows Are Read
One of the most interesting events of the season took place last night when Mies Dorothy Owens, daughter of Mr. Wade Owens of Tuina, Okla, became the bride of Mr. Ralph Gard- ner, con of Mr and Mrs. James Gard- Der, 725 West Mount Vernon street.
The wedding was solemnised at S. o'clock at the home of the officiating minister, the Reverend Mr. Charles G. Fox. Only intimate friends of the couple were present. They were at- tended by Miss Mary Dalrymple and Mr. Harry Grubert.
Mrs. Gardner wore flowered flesh chiffon, with a flesh-covered silk cost. a picture bat of the same shade and matching kid allppers. Mim Mary Del- rymple wore a nie green ensemble with matching hat and accessories.
The couple will spend several dare hirte, and will leave the latter pass of the week for Tulsa, where they wl make their home.

Funeral Services For Train Victim Conducted Today
Funeral services were held at Buck I'mune church, Som atice fourth of Marionville. this afternoon for Friett Rowe, 27, who was Instantly killed at 4:15 o'clock Thursday miter- noon when his automobile was struck by Springfield bound Frisco pater ayer

Rowe, who had employment in St. Louis, was spending a short vacation at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Rowe, on a farm two miles south of Marionville. At the ume the accident occurred. he was going home from town to prepare to go to a dance at Crane with friends.
Members of the train crew were the only witnesses of the accident. but It is believed that the young man drove onto the crossing without noticing the approach of the train. He was driving a closed car.
The parents were visiting relatives in Eldon at the time of thetr son's denth. They were notified and were ex- prated > reach Martonville at noon today to the muuecdl. Three brothers and three sisters also survive.

Dr. Murray C. Stonc. Greene county coroner, decided today that no formal Inquest would be necessary Into the death of Frank Hammock. 50. of 327 Fart Chase street. who dropped dead Jate Wednesday in the yard at his home.
'According to the coroner. a heart firston caused Mr. Hammock's death. Mr. and Mrs. Hanamoch had just fin- ished moving their furniture to the Chane street address from their former home at 304 West Pine street a short while before his death. He was stricken as he walked around a corner of us house about 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Death came before a Starne ambulance could arrive with a pulmotor.
