Is situated nearly in the center of the Chickasaw Nation and within 5 miles of Turner's Falls, which has a fall of from 60 to.75 feet. these hoing 200 foot higher than the town level, The famous sulphur springs at the City of Sulphur, I. T .. is only 8 miles east, connected


by daily stage. Davis has 2 cotton gins, a 50-barrel flour mill, a good hotel, the Allen Cottage: a bank, a wholesale grocery. 2 schools. churches of Bap- tist Methodist and Presbyterian de- nominations, a weekly paper, the Davis News.
