To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from available funds in the Treasury the sum of $3,000.00, or any other sum or sums of money to be added to the Developing Well or Well Field Account and to be spent to install the necessary wells and to conduct pumping tests at new proposed well sites, or act on anything relative thereto.

ARTICLE 6


To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, or appropriate from available funds, the sum of $6,000.00, or any other sum, to be added to the Fire Department Payroll Account, or act on anything relative thereto.

The Advisory Board recommends an appropriation of $4,000.00, as the balance has already been transferred from the Reserve Fund.


ARTICLE 7


To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, or appropriate from available funds, the sum of $2,794.00, or any other sum, to be added to the Emergency Communications Center Account to authorize the Emergency Communications Center Board to employ full time personnel, or act on anything relative thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $54,000.00, or any other sum, for laying and relaying water mains of not less than six inches, but less than sixteen inches in diameter, in Winter Street at the junction of Winter and Main Streets, to the junction of Winter and Cross Streets, a distance of approximately 5,125 feet, thence in a westerly direc- tion approximately 3,500 feet in Cross Street to the existing main in said Cross Street, and to determine whether the same shall be raised by taxa- tion, by transfer from available funds, by borrowing, or by any combination of the foregoing, or take any other action relative thereto.

RECORD OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, OCTOBER 25, 1965.


Pursuant to the foregoing warrant, the registered voters of the Town of Norwell met at the Senior High School on October, 25, 1965. With the Moderator, David Lee Turner, presiding, the meeting opened with 265 registered voters present. This number was increased to 315 during the evening.


Francis Logue, James Macaulay, Richard Messinger and Horace Ross were appointed as tellers by the Moderator, and sworn to the faithful performance of their duty.


The return of service of the warrant by the Constable was read by the Town Clerk. It was VOTED to omit the reading of the articles until taken up for action. It was VOTED to admit visitors.

ARTICLE 1


VOTED to rescind the authority of the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow $20,000.00 for obtaining final plans and specifications, voted under Article 16 at the Special Town Meeting held April 12, 1965.


ARTICLE 2


VOTED 272 yes, 10 no, to appropriate for constructing, originally equipping and furnishing a new elementary school, including playgrounds and other site development as described in the article, and that to raise this amount the treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be auth- orized to borrow $ 800,000.00.under Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948 as amended.
