A letter from Henry K. Van Rensselaer, esquire, accompanied , with affidavits charging Jonas Odell, one of the justices of the peace for the county of Rensselaer, with encouraging a mutiny in one of the regiments in the brigade commanded by said Rensselaer, was laid before the board and read-Thereupon, Resolved, that the Council will be ready to hear the said Henry K. Van Rensselaer in support of the said complaint and the said Jonas Odell in vindica- tion of himself on the third Tuesday in November next, at the Gov- ernment-house in the city of New York, and that the Secretary transmit a copy of the resolution to the parties .*

The Council of Appointment during the year 1793 were David Gelston of Suffolk, Joseph Hasbrouck of Ulster, Robert Woodworth of Rensselaer, and John Frey of Montgomery; the last named was the only Federalist; the other three were Republicans.
