ONEIDA COUNTY.
WHEREAS it appears from the report of the adjutant general that Alpheus Wheelock, lately appointed lieutenant colonel commandant of a regiment of militia in the county of Oneida in the room of Daniel W. Knight, who had resigned, has since been rendered incapable of discharging the duties of that 'office, owing to indisposition, of which it is not probable he will soon recover; and the said Daniel W. Knight, owing to the circumstances aforesaid, being again willing to accept of the command, Resolved, that the said Daniel W. Knight be and he is hereby appointed lieutenant colonel commandant of the regiment aforesaid, to take rank as if he never had resigned.
