His Excellency the Commander-in-chief, on the report and recom- mendation of the adjutant general, having thought proper to form the militia of the county of Oneida into a brigade: therefore, RESOLVED, that George Doolittle be and he is hereby appointed brigadier general thereof, and James S. Kip, inspector, to serve also as brigade major, with the rank of a major, and that Oliver Lucas, be and he is hereby appointed cornet of Captain Henry McNeil's troop of horse in the same brigade:
