A Town Way Laid out by ye Selectmen of Watertown for the ufe of ye Town Acrofs part of ye Common Called Kings Common Begining at the Southweft Corner of Thomas Wellingtons Land (Lying in Sd Town) and Runing from thence Twelve Rods to A heap of Stones which is three Rods to ye East from Richard Wall the Way to be three Rods Wyde So far and Said Line to be the East Bounds, and from thence Said Clarks Wall as it now Stands to be the weft Bounds of Sd Way Againft his Land, and ye way to be three Rods Wide Againft Sd Clarks Land. And from thence Capt John Henderfons Wall as it Now Stands to be the Weft Bounds of Sd Way So far as Sixteen Rods Sd Way to be three Rods wyde, A heap of Stone being on the East Line Oppefite Againft the End of ye Sd Sixteen Rods. Then turning off from ye Sd Wall Southeafterly and Runing from ye Last Named heap of Stones to wards the beaten Cart path abt. Thirteen Rods to a heap of Stones and from thence to A heap of Stones on A flat Rock, & from thence to A heap of Stones on a Great Rock, from thence to a heap of Stones on the top of the Knowl, and from thence till it Enterfext Ebenez' Chenrys Wall, by a larg Rock and Small Stones Laid Abt. it. Said way to be three Rods wyde So far, and the heaps of Stones being on the Easterly Side. then ye Sª Chenrys Wall fence to be the Bounds on the Easterly Side way to the South end of it. And the Wefterly Bounds of Sd Way Runing on A Straight Line from Oppefite to where the East Line Enterfexts Sd Chenrys Wall, to the North post of John Kimballs Draw Barrs on the Knowl. and from thence the wall fence as it Now Stands to be the Weft Bounds of sd way to ye End of it.


And that the Town do Alfo Establifh and Confirm the Way Northward from where the foregoing way begins, as a Town way as to its Run and Wydth, as is Mentioned in the Report of ye Town's Committee. Recorded Lib. 4. Pag. (223)

And the Selectmen Agreed the Diftricts as Appointed the Survey's the Last Year as Recorded Lib 4. P. 219 Should be the prefent Surveyers Diftricts for Mending and Collection. vizt. The East Diftrict to be Amos Bonds, District for Mending and Collecting. The Weft Diftrict to be John Browns Diftrict for Mending & Collection. And the North Diftrict to be Jofeph Wellingtons District for Mending & Collection. Ordred the Clerk to give the Surveyrs Copys or plans of their Districts. There being Something Necefsary to be done for the repairing the Meeting house & Minifteral houfe. ye Selectmen Agree'd to Defire M' Benj". Hastings to do what is Necefsary to be done at Sd Houfes. Agree'd Alfo yt M' Eben' Bradifh be Defired to Mend the Meeting houfe glafs. At Said Meeting Agree'd with M' Simon Coollidge to Board Margret Warrin for the Space of one Year from the firft of this Inftant and to provide for her what is Sutiable & Necefsary und' her Circumftances; and to have as a Reward from ye Town therefor Ten Shillings + week, Extreordnary Charges by Sicknefs or other wife to be reafonably alow'd for befides. For the Town to Confider whether their is not any pew or pews that According to their Votes (when a precinct) of Right Should return to the Town the Town paing the prime Cost as aforesd And if any Such there be for ye Town to Dispofe of Such pew or pews to Such perfon or perfons as the Town Shall Agree to.

Then ye Selectmen Laid before ye Town A List of perfons Names whome they Judg'd Quallify'd for petit juriors Amounting to ye Number of Seventy Six:


Then ye Town proceed and Selected out by y' Votes Nineteen perfons out of Said List (wch is one forth part) to be put into A box for Juriors for the Superiour Court &c. Agreeable to ye Law in yt behalf.


The Remainder of Sd List the Town Voted to be put into A Seperat Box for Juriors for the Inferiour Court &c. agreable to ye aforesd Law.

The Committes Report was Laid before ye Town And After it was Red and Confidred. the Vote was put. Whether the Town Do Accept of sd Re- port And that the Town Confirm the Lands therein Mentioned, to the Refpective Perfons therein Men- tioned y' heirs & Afigns upon their paying into the Town Treafurey Agreeable to Sª Report, And that the Report be Recorded Accordingly. And ye Vote past in the Affimative.


Then ye 3ª Article in ye Warrant was Red to ye town and after Some debate thereon


Voted to choofe three perfons to make inquiries into ye premifes contained in the Sª Article and to make Report at ye Next Town Meeting.


Voted and Chofe Mefsrs: Jona" Bemis Josiah Perry & Sam1 Hager to be Sd Comtee.


Then ye Vote was put whether the Town will Continue the Sd 3ª Article in the Warrant to the Next Town Meeting then to be Acted upon if the Town Se Meet. And ye Vote paft in the Affirmative.

We the Subscribers the Comtee: Chosen by ye Town of Water- town at y' Meeting the Twenty third Day of May 1740. To Agree wth p'fons what they Shall give the Town for ye Land (that may be Conveniantly Spared) Lying to the ways againft the front of y" Lands and to make Reporte to ye Town for y' Confirmation, have Agreable to Sd trust further Perfued Said Affair. And have Agree'd with Sundry Prfons in the Manner following vizt. Agree'd with the Widow Elizh. Cutting that She move out her front fence againft the Land in her pofsefsion to the Bounds of ye High-way as Lately Established by ye Court of Sefsions &c which will be a parrelel Line with Dot. Converfes front on ye Weft and Ed". Har- ringtons front fence on the East which will include abt half An Acrer of Land, Sª half Acrer is bounded wefterly by Land of Dot Converses Northerly with Land in the Pofsefsion of ye Sd Wid".
