Churches. to the South bounds of ye Said High Way as Lately Establifhed by the Court of Sefsions, So far as againft Jona". Agreed that there be a new brace put into ye Cap and King post on the North Peer of Sd Bridge.

And by ye Accts. there Was brot in. in ye year 1741 So many as come to Twelve pounds Nineteen Shillings. an in this prefent Year 1742. So many as comes to fourteen pounds nineteen Shillings and Iod which amots. in the whole to the Sum of £27=18= 10.
Ordred the Treafurer to pay out of ye Town Treafury the Sum of 27= 18= 10ª to ye Sundry Perfons to whom it is due Each one their part According to the heads Sent in Agreable to ye Province Law in that behalf made & Provided.
At a meeting of ye Selectmen of Watertown at M' Jonas Bonds on the 16 Day of Novemb' 1742. The Selectmen Confidering that whereas the fence Set up by Nath1. Harris Esq'. is Yet kept Standing up Notwithftanding a Judgment of ye Superiour Court in favour of ye Town Sª fence being a Common Nufcience as it in clofes part of ye High way or Town way wherein a Publick water- ing place is inclofed and Shut up wch is greatly to the prejudice of many of ye Towns Inhabts. in that they are deprived of ye ufe of sd Watering place, and So is greatly to ye Damage of ye Town.

The Selectmen Ageed wth M' Nath1: Coollidge That He Sld have as a Recompence from ye Town for his keeping the Wid": Webb. from the firft of May Laft past to this Day. vizt. for the firft Eight Weeks (wch was the time of her Extreordinary difficulty) Twenty Shillings pr week. and ye Remainder of ye Time (wch is 21 week's) fourteen Shillings pr week.

Then the Committes Report was Red before the Town & the Vote was put Whether the Town do Accept of Sd Report, and that the Land therein Mentioned be Confirmed to ye Widw Jenifon Named in Sd Report, on the Conditions Mentioned in Sd Report, & yt ye Report be Recorded and the Vote paft in the Affirmative.
Voted the Saxton be paid by Two Contrabutions as he was Laft Year.
Then the Vote of ye Proprs. of ye Common and undivided Lands In Watertown &c. Made and paft on the 24th. of Feby. 1742 was Laid before the Town and Red. which is as follow's. vizt.
The Vote was put whether it is the Mind of the Proprs. to Refign up their Proprietee or Common Lands in Watertown & Elfewhere in to the hands of ye Sd Town of Watertown on the Conditions following vizt. That the Said Town do Sell & Difpofe of ye Same and out of the Proceeds thereof to Deliver into the hands of the Committee Laft Chofen by the Proprietors So much as to pay and Satisfy what Shall Remain to be paid of the Accts. that the Proprs. Allowed of to be paid. And that the Remainder of Sd Proceeds be Devoted to be a Publick Stock for the ufe of Watertown for ever. To be Lett out upon Intereft and the Intereft thereof to be devoted to help Support the Gospel Miniftry And ye Grammer & Englifh School in Sd Watertown for ever.
And the Vote Paft in the Affirmative.
After Confideration of the above Said Vote of ye Proprietors The Vote was Put Whether it be the Mind of the Town To Accept of the Comman Lands Refigned up to the Town of Watertown by the Late Proprietors (which is Set forth in their Vote.) On the Conditions Mentioned in Sd Proprietors Vote. And the Vote Paft in the Affirmative.
Put to Vote whether it is the Mind of ye Town to Choofe a Committee of Three Prfons and Impower them to Difpofe of ye Common Lands Refigned by the Proprs. and Accepted off by ye Town, Agreeable to the Conditions that the Sd Lands are Accepted on. And ye Vote paft in ye Affirmative.
