WOMAN IS DEAD FROM INJURIES IN AUTO CRASH


Mrs. Lillie Kelgore of Dexter, Mo., Suffered Fatal Inju- ries When Car Was Upset Near Springfield Yesterday Afternoon.


Injuries suffered at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon when an auto- mobile in which she was returning from Tulsa to her bome in Dexter. Mo., collided with another mach

Mra. Kelgore and her daughter. Mrs. Minnie Bardon of Tulsa, with whom she had been vilsting. and MA Rardon's daughter, Miss Glad;s Bardon, were en route to Dexter. ! Mrs. Bardon and her daughter were taking Mrs. Kelgore home.


When their automobile, a Hudson sedan, entered the center of the mad Intersection. it was struck by a Ford touring car. the driver of which & unknown. The Hudson car rotted over once and into a ditch at the side of the road.


Women Helped From Car.


Residenta in the vicinity and oo- cupante of the Ford lifted the three women from the machine after s large bole bad been broke in the top. A Starne ambulance was rushed to the scene of the accident and the women were taken to Dr. Busby's of- fico.


It was first belleved that Mra. Kel- gore was not injured seriously only a few minor cuta were inflicted. Bhe was taken to the Hornbeak home. Her condition grew worse last night and she died early this morning. Mrs. Bardon and her daughter were


not seriously injured. Body to Dexter. Mo.


The body of Mra. Kelgore will be forwarded to Dexter at 12 o'clock to. night by the Starne Undertaking company. Funeral services probably will be held Wednesday afternoon.


Besides her daughter and grand- daughter, Mrs. Kelgore is survived by two sons. Tecumseh Kelgore of Dex- ter, and Lawrence Kelgore of Tucson, Ariz .; a brother. Jesse Goodpasture of Greenville, O.


The driver of the Ford failed to make a report of the accident either to the police here or the sheriff. An Investigation is being made. Ac- cording to Mrs. Bardon, the driver of the Ford stated that his foot slipped off the brake.

Miss Grace McCormack of Pittsburg. Kan., daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Wli- liam R. McCormack, formerly of this alty, was married to Mr. Charles Barry of Fort Worth, Texas, at a ceremony Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at the church of which Rev. Mccormack is pastor. Dorothy Les Demore, the four- months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Demore of 2300 North Orant avenue, died at 1:15 a. m. to- day at the home. The child is sur- vived by the parents and 's sister. Funeral services bold 3:30 p. m. today at Yeakley Chapel. 12 miles west of bere, with Rev. J. A. Young officiating. Burial was in Yeakley Chapel cemetery under di- rection of W. L. Starne, undertaker.
