Mrs. Tammehill, Mother of. First Day Nursery Inmate, Awaits Pay Check to Telegraph Woman Who Killed Mate in Quarrel.
Word received here yesterday af- ternoon by Mrs. ' Beagle Tammehill. 330 West Wall street, advised that her sister, Mrs. Emma Reams, .Wednes- day night shot and Instantly killed her husband, Clayton Reams, when . they became engaged in a quarrel at the home in Kansas City.
Their disagreement was over dime spent by the Reams' 14-year- old daughter. The man. It is said. punished the gir! and Mrs. Roams got a revolver out of a table drawer to frighten him. she said.
In the scuffle that followed. the gun was discharged and Reams was shot through the heart.
No charges will be filed against Mrs. Reams, who 1x the mother of five children, according to word re- celved here.by her slater. The Kan- Baa City woman only wanted .. to frighten her husband and prevent him from Injuring the daughter. but
the revolver was accidentally dis- charged and Reams was killed.

Mr. and Mrs. Choate and not Kirk left Springfield at 8 o'clock yesterday morning to drive to the . Choate farm, 12 miles cast of Mans- field.
As the car approached a curve on highway 60, four miles west of Mans- field, Mr. Chonte attempted to check the car's speed by applying the brakes. The machine skidded in the looso gravel, swerved across the road and overturned Into a ditch.
