With late Charles Waldo Haskins established, in 1893, firm of Haskins & Sells, certified public accountants, of which is now the senior member: firm selected by Joint Committee of 53d Congress, 1893, to effect a revision of the accounting system of the U. S. Gov't. for the purpose of simplifying and expedit- ing the public business; also audited the special assessment accounts of the City of Chicago from 1871 to 1901, and installed an entirely new system of accounts for the City of Chicago, and have executed many other important commissions for municipalities in inaugurating, correcting and investigating accounting systems, reorganizing corpora- tions, etc. Mem.
