Tyler) for purpose of presenting Charles Coghlan in his own adaptation of The Royal Box, which met great success; then made five years' con- tract with Viola Allen, who made her debut as a star under Liebler & Co.'s management in Hall Caine's The Christian, which proved to be the greatest money maker of the de- cade, nearly a million dollars in net profits resulting from this contraet; since then many famous American stars, including Eleanor Robson, Ada Rehan. James A. Herne, Otis Skinner, James O'Neill,, Edward Morgan, Henry E. Dixey, Wilton Lackaye, Blanche Bates, Elsie Janis, William Faversham, Ezra Kendall, W. T.
