Isti, and began the manufacture of humber. the logs being floated or driven to the mill from points along the Racquette River. In 1875. with Mr. Augustus Sherman of Glens Falls, organized the A. Sherman Lumber Co. of Potsdam, of which Mr. Sisson was resi- deut partner and me'r. After Mr. Sher- man's death the business was incorporated under the same title, and still continues.
