May. 1567. In active practice ever since; admitted to practice in U. S. Dist. courts in May, 1872. Enlisted in Co. D. 76th Reg't N. Y. Inf. Vols. in Sept., 1561. and served through the war in Army of the Potomac; in First Army Corps until it was destroyed at Gettysburg, July. 1:63, the remnant being consolidated into Fifth Army Corps under Gen. G. K. Warren: reënlisted as veteran vol. in same Co. and Rez't in January, 1864. Wounded at 2d Bull Run; taken prisoner at.Gettysburg; was in all bat- tles of Army of the Potomac.
