1657. He was sued by Ezekiel Holli- man, for debt, by Thomas Bra.lley, for slander, and by Abigail Sweet, for tresspass and slander, and he brought suit against Thomas Bradley, for both debt and slander.

He made agreement with Hugh Stone, deeling him 12 acres, but not to be mo- lested in quiet and peaceable possession of his house wbile be lives, and also to retain for lite, orchard on sail 12 acres, and privilege of en- closing 3 acres for his use while it lives. His son-in-law to give him a cow already agreed on, and at Peter's death, the house, orchard and all| the 12 acres to belong to Hugh stone. 1661 He was in Warwick thus early, and brought with him a little memorandum book, still in the clerk's office at that town. It was dated at Ely House, London, 1650, and showed that he had been in the army in En- gland, containing among other things, the roll of soldiers, &c.

1683, Apr. 25. He made a confirmatory deed to the representatives of the thirteen original pro- prietors of Pawtuxet lands, he being the last sur- vivor and owning three shares, his own thir- teenth and two shares that he had purchased.


1679, Feb. 10. Will - codicil 1683, Mar. 15- proved 1685, Oct. 1. Exs, sons Silas and Ben- jamin. To eldest son Joseph, 20s., and like amount to daughters Lydia smith and Priscilla Vincent To sons Silas, Benjamin, Timothy and Ephraim, land. To grandson Ephruim, eldest sou of Epliraim, by his first wife, land, and if he died before twenty-one, then his sister Susanna to have. To grandson William, and grandson Joseph Smith, son of Lydia, certain Land, and if Joseph died, Simon to have bis share To daughter Priscilla Vincent, land. To wife Elizabeth, all movable estate, and sons Silas and Benjamin, to take whole care of their mother, " to provide for hier in all respects and conditions as a woman ought to be provided for, during ber natural life." In codicil, as inis son Joseph had died, he gave to grandson Joseph, son of Joseph, legacy intended for his father. As he had beard his son Epbruim was intending to sell, he revoked his legacy and gave to Eph- raim, Jr. and Susanna.


Inventory, £22, including 5 night caps, 2 silk neck cloths, &c.


He Is supposed to have been killed in an attack on his father's house at Pawtuxet, by the Indians.

The roomis named were outward room, bed room, great chamber, Icanto chamber.
