1707, Oct. 29. He was appointed one of the commissioners to settle with Massachusetts regarding northern boundary of Rhode Island.


He was appointed at same date (with John Mumford) to survey vacant lands in Narragansett.


1714. He was appointed administrator on estate of bis nephew William Curder, but died before distribution of the property could be made. His death was caused by drowning.


1719. His widow had £3, 16s., allowed for her husband's trouble in administering on estate of William Carder, which sum was to be deducted from £17, Is., 6d., due from her to estate of William Carder.


1791, Dec. 9. His widow made agreement with George Hazard, Jr., of Kings Town and his wife Sarah, daughter of said widow Mary, by which certain real estate of Captain James Carder, deceased, viz: the house where the widow lived, meadow, orchard, &c., should be hers for life in lieu of dower, and all other real estate should belong to George and Sarab.
