1672, Aug. 14. He was on a jury to view the body of Peter Treby, son of Peter of Newport, being at Taunton, with his mother Bethigh. Verdict, that the chill of three years " being near the riverside, by some accident fell into the river," &c.

1669, Aug. 19. He andtwo others were empowered to require Suckquash und Ninecraft to appear before Council Wednesday next at Newport, to give satisfaction touching the alarm of the : country upon the suspicion of the Indians plot- ting to cut off the English.
1670, Jun. 21. He had a letter sent him by the Commissioners of Connecticut sitting at Wick- ford, requesting the delivery of two of their men detained by Thomas Mumford, they being messengers of Connecticut inoffensively riding on the King's highway. He complied and re- leased the meu.
1670, Jul. 13. He and Jireh Bull having informed the Governor and Council of the murder of: Walter House, who was illegally and disorderly : buriel, they were ordered to repair forthwith to | the place where the body was buried and cause i it to be taken up and a jury inquest to pass thereon. (The Connecticut authorities who! claimed jurisdiction over the country had ! : dready held an inquest with their own jury.) 1670, Oct. 26. He and four others were appointed to make a rate for Pettaquamscult.

1670, Jul. 29. He and forty-one other inhabi- tants of Narragansett, petitioned the King that' be " would put an end to these differences about | the government thereof, which bath been so i fatal to the prosperity of the place, animosities ! still arising in people's minds as they stand | affected to this or that government."
1684, Sep. 18. Elizabeth Wilson, willow, aged 1 fifty-five years or thereabouts, deposed as to her Erst husband Julin Sweet's settlement at Poto- womut Neck, &c.
1684, Jun. 30. An agreement was made by the orphans of Summuch Wilson with consent of Jirch Bull, executor, The eldest brother Sam- uel Wilson was to have three lots adjoining the housing. with sant housing, &c., part had of his father-in-law Tefft. The rest of the land was to go equally to the children, including Samuel. : and so all of them a share. The agreement was signed by Samuel Wilson aud Robert and Mary Hannah.
