1:10, Sep. 5. Hle and his brother Thomas, were indicted for a seditious tumult and bound over in sum of £20 to next court.
1713, Oct. 24. Edward Pelham, Jr., and Thomas Pelham, of Newport, and Abigail, wife of said Thomas, sold for £1,000, Innd which was property of Herbert Pelham, father of said Captain Edward Polluun.
1717, May 15. He gave his man Harry his freedom. 1731. May. Hle brought suit against Peter Coggeshall and others for trespass and witholding land. with tive shops and warehouse; said estate having been bequeathed by Benedict Arnold, to his daughter Freelove, who married 1682, Apr. 18, Captain Edward Pelham, father of plaintiff, and she having died 1711, Sep. 8. still possessed of land which by law of England, descends to plaintiff. In answer the defendant submitted will ot Freelove Pelham, also deed of Edward Pelham, 1711. Aug. 25. of his courtesy in the estate to daughter Elizabeth Goodson. After much litigation it would appear that the plaintiff won his case.
1741. May 21. Will-proved 1741. To daughter Hermione, wife of John Bannister, he gave (after other bequests) 8 acres " with an old stone wind mill thereou standing." His daughter Penelope, married subsequent to her father's death, Joseph Cowley (1741, Nov. 15).

172 -. Will-le mentions wife Abigail, son John, not twenty-one, and sister Penelope Pelham. He speaks of lands in province of Massachusetts.
1737, Jlar. 21. His widow and executrix Abigail, leased the upper mill field, and lower mill field, 12 acres in all.

To daughter Deborah, a mare in a month, and $50, at agr, and son Joseph to pay her £10, within two years of his coming to his estate. and son William also to pay her €10, in same manner. Inventory, $155, 17a., viz: 3 beds, 12 chairs, pewter, 2 wheels, gun, 2 oxen, 10 cows, 6 yearlings, 3 steers, A bull, 7 calves, 23 sheep, 9 geese, &c.
