1748. Aug. 28. Widlow Esther Steere's estate, of Smithfield, administered upon by son Hosen of Glo- cester, the eldest son John, of Glocester, declining to administer. The administrator presented receipts two years later from his brothers Jolin and Hezekiah for legacies of $322.316d., cach, and from the guardians of brother Wickenden Steere, (viz : Joun Aldrich and Thomas Steere) for a like legacy, and also for £72, 15a., from his father's estate. 1683, May 14. He was apprenticed by his father to John Watson, tailor, of Kings Town, for sixteen years from the first of March last past.
He lived for a time at Exeter, and dated nis will there, but it was proved at East Greenwich.

173. Mar. 5. He desled to son Jonathan, for love, &c. 50 acres of upland and meadow west side of Punchassets River, a little east wardly of my dwelling house.

To grinddaughter Abigail Fisk, 57, at eighteen or marriage.
He was buried in the family burial ground.
