1629, May 2. High Laver, Essex County, England. Roger Williane wrote at this date, and previously, to Lady Joan Barnneton, (widow ot Sir Francis Barrington), regarding ; his affection for her niece. He was then Chaplain to Sir William Masham, of Otes (in parish of High Laver), who bad married a daughter of Lady Barrington. 1634. His
mother died in this year, and in her will mentioned son Sulrach, son Roger, " now beyond the seas," (E'10 yririr for twenty years, or in case of his death to his wife and daughteri: son Robert, daughter Katharine, the now wife of John Davis, grandchildren, &c. She was baptizei in 1564, and was daughter of Robert and Catharine Petnet- ton, of St. Albans, Hertfordshire.
