They moved, in 1741, from Rowley to Tewksbury, where he died 1 Feb., 1754. Administration granted 18 Mar., 1754, to his widow, Jerusha Boynton, with Joseph Kittredge of Tewksbury and Nathan Boynton of Rowley as sureties on her bond. In her account are charges for "bringing up my son David from two and one half years old to this day" (19 Sept., 1757). Son Richard Boynton, then about fifteen years old, was placed under the guardianship of Dea. William Stickney of Billerica, 27 Aug., 1756 (Middlesex Probate, 12: 54).

HUMPHREY1 BRADSTREET came from Ipswich, England, in the ship "Elizabeth,"-William Andrews, master-the last of Apr., 1634, bringing with him his wife, Bridget, aged thirty years, and children, Hannah, aged nine years, John, aged three years, Martha, aged two years and Mary, aged one year. At this time he was forty years old. He had a grant of land in Ipswich, Mass., north of Egypt River. This homestead continued as a part of Ipswich until 29 Nov., 1785, when it was annexed to Rowley. He was made freeman, 6 May, 1635, and was representative for Ipswich that year. He died in the summer of 1655. He was a member of the church in Rowley, and was buried in Rowley. His will, dated 21 July, 1655, proved 25: 7 mo. 1655, men- tions wife, Bridget; son Moses is to have the homestead after the de- cease of his mother; son John is to have the farm at Muddy River; daughter Hannah Rofe; daughter Martha Beale; daughter Mary Brad- street ; daughter Sarah Bradstreet; daughter Rebecca Bradstreet; grand- children Daniel Rofe, Hannah Rofe and Samuel Beale; the poor of Ipswich, the poor of Rowley (Essex Probate).

This deed was acknowledged in Boston, 14 Nov., 1711, by Elizabeth Slaughter, Nathaniel and Hannah Elithorp; acknowl- edged in Essex County, 9 Oct., 1713, by Moses Bradstreet ; Mrs. Martha, his wife, gave up dower, 17 Oct., 1713; acknowledged in Boston, 8 Dec., 1713, by John Slaughter, mariner; and 20 Oct., 1715, Elizabeth Slaughter, being of full age, confirmed her former acknowledgment (Essex Deeds, 27: 264).

25-9. MOSES& BRADSTREET (Capt. Moses 25-7; Humphrey 25), born in Ipswich, 17 Oct., 1665; married in Rowley, 19 July, 1686, Hannah, daughter of John Pickard (145). She died 3 Jan., 1736-7 (G. S.). He married (2) in Rowley, 27 Oct., 1737, Dorothy, widow of Ezekiel Northend (132-6). He died 20 Dec., 1737 (G. S.).
His will, dated 19 Dec., 1737, mentions wife, Dorothy; son Nathan- iel, who is to have the homestead; daughter Elizabeth Parker; daugh- ter Hannah Wood's children; grandchildren Nathan Wood, Phebe Wood, Hannah Andreas, Bridget Pemberton, Abigail Bradstreet, Han- nah Bradstreet, Moses Bradstreet (Essex Probate, 325 : 10). His home, after 1696, was the Bradstreet farm, then in Ipswich, now in Rowley. His widow, Dorothy, died 17 June, 1752, aged 84 years (G. S.).

25-11. DR. HUMPHREY3 BRADSTREET (Capt. Moses 25-7; Humphrey 25), born in Ipswich, 6 Jan., 1669-70; married Sarah, daughter of Joshua and Dorothy (Pike) Peirce of Newbury. He lived for a time in Rowley, then moved to Newbury where he became quite a noted physician. He died in Newbury, 11 May, 1717. His will, dated ? May, 1717, mentions wife, Sarah; oldest son, Humphrey ; son Daniel ; son Benjamin to be sent to college; son Moses; daughters Dorothy Sargent, Sarah Tufts, Anna Bradstreet and Betty Bradstreet; wife Sarah and Capt. Joshua Peirce, of Portsmouth, named executors (Essex Probate, 312 : 98).

His will, dated 7 June, 1779, mentions wife, Mary ; "only child," Betty Bradstreet ; "chil- dren of my brother and sisters"; Benjamin Bradstreet, Dorothy Sargent, Sarah Tufts, Anna Moody and Betty Johnson (Essex Probate).

25-12. NATHANIEL3 BRADSTREET (Capt. Moses 25-7; Humphrey 25), born in Ipswich; baptized in Rowley, 14 Jan., 1671-2; married in Rowley, "oct1689ober the sixteenth day" ( ?) probably 1688, Priscilla Carrell, probably daughter of Anthony of Topsfield. He was a soldier, and died in the Canada Expedition, 1690. Administration granted 21 Apr., 1691, to his widow, Priscilla, and his brother, Moses. Inventory taken 28 Sept., 1691 (Essex Probate, 304: 403).

25-19. CAPT. JONATHAN3 BRADSTREET (Capt. Moses 25-7; Hum- phrey 25), born in Ipswich ; baptized in Rowley, 22 June, 1690. Josiah Wood was appointed his guardian, 6 May, 1700. He married in Row- ley, 7 Nov., 1710, Sarah, daughter of Jonathan Wheeler (215-4). His residence was in that part of Rowley now Georgetown. "Capt. Jona- than Bradstreet and Sarah his wife and Dorcas Bradstreet wife of Sam- uel dismissed to Lunenburg whither they are removed, Apr. 15, 1739" (Rowley Sec. Ch. R.). He died in Lunenburg, 22 May, 1757.

He married (2) in Ipswich, 15 Aug., 1739, Hannah, daughter of Thomas Hammond (75). He died, in Ipswich, 2 Dec., 1752, in his 48th year (G. S.). His will, dated 30 Nov., 1752, mentions wife, Han- nah, who is to have "that land which was in my uncle John's division"; son Moses to have the homestead; son Nathaniel; son John; daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Hannah (Essex Probate, 331: 99).
