LAWRENCE.
I. EBENEZER LAWRENCE, physician, Esquire, was born in Pepperell, Mass. 1770 ; graduated Harvard College ; studied medicine with Dr. Brooks, of Watertown, Mass. ; went into practice of his profession in Hampton, where he remained fifty years. He ranked high as a phy- sician ; and was a publie-spirited man of business, and an active, sin- cere christian. He married, Jan. 31, 1802, Abigail, daughter of Col. Thomas Leavitt (19), of North Hampton. At the age of eighty, he removed to Pepperell, where he spent the remainder of his life with his son and family. He died June, 1856. Mrs. Lawrence died 1866. They had a large family, of whom several died in infancy. Besides these, were :

LEACH-STICKNEY.
I. JOSEPH LEACH, ship carpenter, married Abigail ; lived near the " ship-yard," by the turnpike; was a sergeant in the Revo- lutionary war. He died Feb. 22, 1809, aged seventy four years ; she died Sept. 3, 1812, aged seventy-four years. Children :
Comfort, b. Mar. 18, 1760; d., unm., Apr. 4, 1853.
Molly, bp. Nov. 14, 1762 ; m. Dec. 7, 1780, Levi Stickney, of H. F. ; d. Dec. 8, 1848. They had ch .: Polly, b. 1783 ; d., unm., Sept. 14, 1867. Green- leaf, unm; lived, for some years, with his sister and aunt, Comfort Leach, in a small house by the roadside, near the present house of Mr. Nathaniel Johnson. After the annt died, the others were cared for in fam- ilies and the house was taken down. Greenleaf Stickney at length died in Brentwood, the last of his family.

I. THOMAS LEAVITT, one of the first settlers of Exeter, and a signer of the "Combination," in 1639, removed to Hampton and as early as 1644 married Isabella (Bland) Asten, daughter of Joshua and Joanna Bland, of Colchester, England, and widow of Francis Asten (1), who had died a year or two before. They lived on the Asten homestead (now the residence of John C. Marston). Mr. Leavitt died Nov. 28, 1696, aged "above eighty." His widow died Feb. 19, 1699. Children : Aretas (2), b. ab. 1646; m. Ruth Sleeper; d. Jan. 14, 1739.

Children :
