Article 12. To see if the town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into a contract for the razing, demolition and removal of the abandoned school, known as Marcy Street School, and to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer a certain sum of money, sufficient to pay the cost of such razing, demolition and removal, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $6,000.00, work to be done by contract and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to re- quest bids for the demolition and removal of the abandoned school known as "Marcy Street School."


Article 13. To see if the town will vote in accordance with Sections 22B and 22C of Chapter 40, of the General Laws, to authorize the Board of Selectmen to lease for a period of one (1) year from the first day of April, 1962, property located at the corner of Main Street and Goddard Street, owned by Mar- tin Realty Co., of Auburn, Inc., to be used for off-street park- ing, upon such terms and conditions as the Board of Selectmen may determine, and to raise and appropriate, borrow or trans- fer a sufficient sum of money to cover the cost of such lease, public liability insurance, and the cost of policing and main- taining said area, or act anything thereon.

Article 14. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, a sum of money to rewire the Town Hall Electrical System to meet the requirements of the Local and National Electrical Codes, and to provide new lights in the offices of the Assessors, Dental Clinic, Board of Selectmen, Se- lectmen's Clerk and Building Inspector, that said money be used in conjunction with the balance of money voted under Article 3 of the December 18, 1961 Special Town Meeting, and balance voted under Article 38 of the Annual Town Meeting of March 13, 1961, all said moneys to be placed under a new Account to be known as the "Town Hall New Lighting Ac- count," or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $2,000.00, said funds to be used in conjunction with balance carried forward of $2,539.00.


Article 15. To see if the town will vote to hear, act on, and accept the report of the Board of Selectmen, as to the laying

out of a public way, a certain street known as Jerome Street, commencing at the westerly side line of Charlton Street, thence- westerly for a distance of about four hundred forty (440) feet,. or act anything thereon.

To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, a sum of money for the construction of a sidewalk on Guelphwoods Road, from the existing side- walk at Charlton Street School, easterly for a distance of ap- proximately eight hundred fifty (850.0) feet, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $5,600.00, with work to be done by contract.


Article 44. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, a sum of money for the re-construc- tion of driveway at the Police Station, said re-construction to consist of enlarging area, removal of trees, guard rail, Type I berm, and Type I surfacing, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: Indefinite postponement.

Article 45. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer a sum of money to repair or re- build steps and walks in the front of the Town Hall, or act any- thing thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $2,500.00, with work to be done by contract.


Article 46. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, a sum of money for the re-construc- tion of Hartwell Street, from the westerly line of Marcy Street westerly for a distance of one hundred seventy (170.0) feet, more or less, to Prospect Street, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $2,000.00, with work to be done by the Highway Department.


Article 47. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, a sum of money for the Maintenance of Chapter 90 roads in this town, said money to be used in con- junction with money which may be allotted by the State and County, or both, for this purpose, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $2,000.00.


Article 48. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer a sum of money for the re-construc- tion of Pleasant Street, said money to be used under Chapter 90 of the General Laws in conjunction with money which may be allotted by the State and County, or both, for this purpose, or act anything thereon.


VOTED: In the affirmative for $10,000.00.


Article 49. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate, borrow or transfer, the sum of Four Hundred Ninety- Seven Dollars and Sixty-Seven Cents ($497.67) to pay Nicola and Anna D'Alessandro for the construction of 186 feet of 8" transite sanitary sewer main on Warren Street, provided that Nicola and Ann D'Alessandro release to the Town of South- bridge all their rights by proper instrument, or act anything thereon.
