REESE, GEORGE EDWARD, JR. PRIVATE Son of George Edward and Catherine M. Reese; born July 27, 1889, Tarentum, Pa. Moved to Elwood, Ind. in 1891. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army December 8, 1917, Ft. Thomas, Ky. Sent to Camp Hancock, Ga .; assigned to 16th Company, 2nd Motor Mechanical Regiment. Died of peritonitis March 24, 1918, Camp Hancock, Ga. Buried in Elwood, Ind.
REILEY, LUKE LEO PRIVATE Son of Luke Francis and Mary Reiley; born October 26, 1892, Ottawa, Ill. Moved to Alexandria, Ind. in 1906. Glass worker. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army May 7, 1917, and was, sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo. Transferred to Chattanooga,, Tenn .; assigned to Company A, 6th Infantry. Overseas in; April, 1918. Killed in action November 6, 1918, near Verdun. Buried on Hill No. 228, known as Bois de Sartelle, on the Meuse River, France.

Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army in February 1917. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio; assigned to Company M, 23rd Infantry. Transferred to Camp Syracuse, N. Y. Overseas in September, 1917; attached to the Second Division. Killed in action July 18, 1918, near Soissons, France. Buried in Commune of Domptin, Aisne, France.

Son of Lewis and Lauvisa Riggs; born July 16, 1895, near Pendleton, Ind. Entered service May 20, 1918, Anderson, Ind. Sent to Camp Joseph E. Johnston, Fla .; assigned to Guard Detachment. Went overseas; assigned to 334th Supply Company. Served with the Army of Occupation in Germany. Stricken with pneumonia, he died March 7, 1919, Coblenz, Germany. Body returned to U.S., and buried in Menden Cemetery, near Pendleton, Madison County, Ind.

Sent to Camp Travis, Tex .; assigned to Company M, 358th Infantry. Arrived overseas July 1, 1918; attached to Ninetieth Division. Killed in action September 12, 1918, near Vilcey, France. Awarded Distinguished Service Cross (posthumously) for extraordinary heroism in action. The American Legion Post, Summitville, Ind., named in his honor.
TAYLOR, OTTO VERNON PRIVATE
