BROWN, VITUS WAYNE - PRIVATE Son of Clyde C. and Mary Williamson Brown; born October 24, 1895, Rockport, Ind. Manager of moving picture show. Entered service May 28, 1918, Sapulpa, Okla. Trained at Camp Bowie, and Ft. Worth, Tex. Overseas in July, 1918. Assigned to Company C, Headquarters Department, 144th Infantry, 36th Division. Fought at Champagne, and St. Etienne. Wounded October 13, 1918, near Attigny on the Aisne River. Died October 18, 1918, Base Hospital No. 202. Buried at Orleans, France.
