Died October 29, 1918, in hospital near Fleville from wounds. Buried, "Somewhere in France."

Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss .; assigned to Bat- tery F, 139th Field Artillery. Overseas in September, 1921. Returned to U.S., discharged in July, 1919, at own request, pronounced as permanent and total disability. Died of dia- betes July 6, 1920, in Base Hospital, Palo Alto, Cal. Buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind.

Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army July 27, 1917, Indianapolis. Sent to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind .; assigned to Machine Gun Company, 28th In- fantry, Replacement Battalion. Overseas October 27, 1917; assigned to 2nd Company, Machine Gun Battalion, 1st Divi- sion. Wounded at Cantigny May 30, 1918, and died same day. Buried, Bonvillers, Oise, France.


GEYER, CLARENCE E. - PRIVATE Son of Jacob D. and Alice L. Geyer; born April 20, 1894, Indianapolis, Ind. Employe of Atkins Saw Works. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army May 3, 1917, Indianapolis, Ind. Trained at Plattsburg, N. Y., and Camp Greene, S. C. Sailed for France in May, 1918. Assigned to Battery A, 16th Field Artillery, 4th Division. Died August 16, 1918 of wounds received in action on Vesle River Front. Body to be returned to U.S. for burial.


GIBERSON, CECIL CORPORAL Son of James and Mary Giberson; born May 24, 1895, New Point, Decatur County, Ind. Moved to Indianapolis in 1897. Teamster. Enlisted in Indiana National Guard, (Com- pany A, 151st Infantry) April 4, 1917, Indianapolis, Ind. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss .; assigned to Replacement Detachment. Embarked June 11, 1918; assigned to Company G, 26th Infan- try, 1st Division. Wounded near Chateau-Thierry, and died July 31, 1918 in American Red Cross Hospital No. 2. Buried in Grave 205, American Cemetery No. 34, Suresnes, France.


GLADSON, JAMES BLAINE - PRIVATE Son of J. R. and Annis Lawson Gladson (Turner); born November 15, 1894, Mooresburg, Hawkins County, Tenn. Farmer and school teacher. Entered service April 3, 1918, Rogersville, Tenn. Sent to Camp Gordon, Atlanta, Ga .; assigned to 157th Depot Brigade. Sailed for France May 1, 1918; assigned to Company L, 328th Infantry. Killed in action September 15, 1918, St. Mihiel. Buried in Commune of Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France. Mother now lives at Bridgeport, Marion County, Ind.

Houston, Tex., where he was killed in accident June 12, 1917. Buried at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind.

Enlisted in Second Officers Training Camp, August 27, 1917, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in Field Artillery. Sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa; assigned to Company C, 339th Field Art llery. Died of pneumonia March 30, 1918, Camp Dodge, lowa. Buried in Fall Creek Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind.


GOSSETT, HORACE W. PRIVATE


Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Gossett; born March 29, 1895, Hendricks County, Ind. Moved to Indianapolis in early life. Farm laborer. Entered service October 3, 1917, Newcastle, Dixon County, Neb. Trained at Camp Funston, Kans .; assigned to Company G, 4th Infantry. Sailed for France from Newport News, Va., March, 1918. Killed in action July 28, 1918. (Place of death and burial not known).
