Buried near where he fell. Survived by widow, Nellie Reid, and two children Herman Chandos, and Lillian Captolia.

Rejoined comrades and again wounded; taken to hospital and died of septicemia November 23, 1918. Buried in American Cemetery No. 10, near Chaumont, France.

Embarked August 14, 1918; assigned to Motor Field Hospital, 36th Sanitary Train, 7th Division at time of death. Died of pneumonia September 28, 1918, France. (Place of burial not known.)

Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army January 5, 1917, Jefferson Bar- racks, Mo. Assigned to Battery B, 13th Field Artillery. Sent to Ft. Bliss, Tex. Served as guard on Rio Grande River, and was killed during a skirmish with the Mexicans July 18, 1917. Buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Ind.

Assigned overseas to Company K, 28th Infantry, 1st Division. Killed in action November 7, 1918. Buried in American Cemetery No. 566, Grave 121, Ardennes, France.

Entered service May 20, 1918, Jasper, Ind. Received training at Camp Taylor, Ky., Camp Vail, N. J., and Camp Meade, Md., where he contracted influenza, and died October 9, 1918. Buried in Oak Hill Ceme- tery, Evansville.
