Son of Isaac and Eva T. Reese; born March 22, 1895, Monti- cello, Ind. Farmer. Called into service May 28, 1918, Monti- cello, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky .; assigned to Company G, 114th Infantry. Transferred to Camp Beauregard, La .; then to Camp Merritt, N. J. Embarked September 16, 1918. Died of pneumonia October 4, 1918, Base Hospital, Liverpool, England. Buried in Hughes Cemetery, Monticello, Ind. Sur- vived by widow, Elizabeth Reese, and daughter, Clara Lenese Reese.


SHARP, CHARLES ERMAL - CORPORAL Son of O. E. and Sarah Henry Sharp; born May 15, 1902, Tipton County, Ind. Moved to White County in 1915. Farmer. Enlisted April 14, 1919, Lafayette, Ind. Received training at Ft. Thomas, Ky., and Camp Meade, Md. Assigned to Company C, 50th Infantry. Overseas June 11, 1919. Died of pneumonia at Coblenz, Germany, November 19, 1920 Body returned and buried in Idaville Cemetery, Idaville, Ind.


SWANSON, JAMES EDWARD - PRIVATE, CANADIAN ARMY Son of John and C. Swanson (Ryning); born March 13, 1893, (place of birth not known). Laborer at Idaville, Ind. at the time of enlistment. Enlisted September 2, 1916, Regina, Canada. Trained at Pleteunama, Canada. Assigned to 77th Battery. Transferred to Liverpool, England, then to Schorn- cliff, and then to Kent, England. In air raid for which he received two medal "Ribbons of Honor". Died from effect of gas September 10, 1918, Etaples, England. (Burial place not known.)
