yard, foundry and 2 cooper shops, comprise its chief manufactories. Brookville has real and personal property (assessed value) aggregating $850,000, and is supplied with gas works, good fire department, 5 churches, 3 hotels and 1 bank. 2 weekly newspapers, Democrat and American, are published.
