CIRCUIT CLERK MOVES RECORDS INTO STORAGE


Circuit Clerk Guy C. Gibbs yester- day moved more than 1.500 volumes. including court dockets. minute books, witnous claim books and cash and account books from the circuit court vault on the second floor of the courthouse to the basement. where they are being stored.


The old volumes date back to the beginning of the Greene county cir- cuit court and are of no value in the circuit clerk's office. BA no occasion ever arlbes to refer to them. The oid records were allowed to remain in their present place in the vault. as lawyers and court attaches are often compelled to refer to them for a decision or record.
