"There were no railroads here then. I used to know everybody in town and where they lived-now If don't know anybody-that Is. just a few around.


"I started with Colonel H. F. Fel- lowa at the wagon factory when It was a hand shop making about 300 wagona a year-now we make 6000. The factory was located on Boon- .

Profes- sor Liggard of the Kroeger school ot music, played the organ and chimen preceding the ceremony and played Mendelssohn's wedding march ns the couple entered the church. Bhc wore a large orchid hat which Listed with har gown and her milypera were of silver The bridal bouquet was of orchids and rome bude combined with lillies-of-the-valley,"and Miss Viles wore the gift of the groom which was a platinum · and diamond bracelet.


Following the ceremony, Mrs. V'iles entertained with -a bridal dinner at the: Coronada hotel at which several St. Louis friends were present and the following Springfield guests who motored in St. Loule for the wedding: Mr. and Mrs. Francen Wernert, Mrr. W. D. I'mArt. and Mrs. J. L Long, mother of the groom. The bride is a gradu- Hte of Flfindale academy and at- tended State Tenchere colloge. She Is a member of Tau Phi Gamma Autority. Mr. Long is a graduate of Western Military academy and attended Drury college. He is a member of Kappa Alpha. Alpha Delta, and Delta Phi Omega fra- ternities.


Mr. and Mre. Long are having! a wedding trip to Alton. Ill. where they will attend the commencement exercises at Western Military pradamy. and they will go from there in Chicago. I'mon their return they will realde in their new home. inno South National avenue.
