ALTON, Mo., July 2 .- (Special.)- Thrown through the windshield of a car in which he was returning from a fishing trip when It crashed with another automobile near here, Sam- uel McClannahan, 73-year-old retired farmer of Alton, received a gash In his throat which resulted in his almost instant death late Priday aft- ernoon.

ROLLA, Mo., July 5-Thomas O. Eberly, a prominent business man of Joplin, Mo. died at Rolla bos- pital yesterday as a result of an auto- mobile accident which took place Bunday afternoon. Eberiy was com- ing from Joplin, and at the Junction of routes 28 and 66. east of Waynes- ville, his car turned over. The soci- dent was witnessed by J. C. Turner of Salem. Mo., who was coming along at the time.

The charred body of Oscar "Buck" Will. 38 years old, of Greenfield. Mo. was removed this morning from the ruins of a five-room bungalow. Incated two miles northeast of Rock- away Beach. The building was de- atroved hy fire of 'unknown origin t 10 o'clock last night. It was used a a camp by the Stone-Rudell Highway Construction company, by whom Wil- lis was employed as a teamster.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blansitt and their : small son, who had charge of the i camp. were awakened by the smoke and narrowly escaped from the build- ing. which wna In a mass of flamea. Other members of the construction force were not In the house. having left to spend the evening .at n resort.
