Population, 2,750. An incorporated city on the C. & N. W. Ry., at the crossing of the C., M. & St. P. Ry., in Sheboygan county, 15 miles west of Sheboygan, the judicial seat, and 55 north of Milwaukee. It contains 6 churches, Congregational, Episcopal, German Methodist, German Re- formed, Lutheran and Catholic, a high school building costing $22,000, 2 banks, 2 furniture factories, 2 machine shops, 1 fiouring mill, overall factory, a fine brew- ery, feed and cider mills, 3 weekly news- papers, the Reporter, the Plymouth Post (German), and the Plymouth Review, etc. There are several first-class hotels, among them the Central and the Hotel Laack take the lead. Cheese is extensively manufac- tured in the vicinity, and cheese, live stock, furniture, grain, flour and produce are shipped. It has a well equipped fire de- partment, water works, an electric light plant, wide and well kept streets, substan-
