The Inhabitants of Braintrey aforesaid being Regulerly assem- bled by warrant (under the selectmens hands) to the constable Richard Thayer
they then voted Captain John Wilson Esq Moderator for that day.
The warrant was as followeth : -
To Richard Thayer, Constable of Braintree.
Whereas there has been some dissatisfaction and disturbance in the Town respecting mr. Fisks maintenance, there being some of our neighbours who think that that vote which settles 90 Pound q annum upon him was not so legal & orderly made & to prevent any further Trouble in the Town thereabout we think it needfull that ye Town should meet - these are therefore to require you in her majties name to warn all ye Freeholders & other Inhabitants of this Town qualified as ye Law directs to voate in Town affaires to meet at ye meeting house on fryday the 26 of this instant novem- ber at Ten of ye clock in the forenoon to consider of this matter & to agree upon a sum for mr. Fisks maintenance for this present year the greatest part of which allready past and to settle a sal- lary for him for the futar ifye Town shall so agree when they come together, given under our hands this 11th day of novemb". 1703.

At a Publick Town meeting of ye Inhabitants of Braintrey being assembled by warrant to ye constables under ye hands of ye Select- men they then chose Elder Nathaniel Wales Moderator for that day.
The warrant was as followeth : -
To ye Constables of Braintrey or either of them
Whereas there hath been a difference & dissatisfaction in divers persons inthe Town of Braintrey about ye settlement of mr. Fisks Sallary in time past refering to a vote which was passed in said Town for ye payment of 901b ap annum to ye sd Mr. Fisk & some persons alledging that ye voat was not Legall & that matter not being thorowly traverced in ye law & so that matter lying in sus- pence these are therefore in her majties name to require you forth- with to summons & warn all ye freeholders & other Inhabitants qualified by law to vote in Town affaires to meet at ye meeting house in Braintrey on munday ye Tenth of January next to con- sider of a reinforceing of that vote of 901b and to settle it upon their minister Mr. Fisk. as a sallary for ye futar (if it maybe ob- tained) if not to proceed forthwith to settle a sallary upon him to begin from ye first day of march last past & so on from thence forward dureing his continuance in ye Town in ye work of ye work of ye ministry

Moses Fiske should have eighty Pounds for his Labours in the worke of the minestrey for ye year Last past. in money or in Indian corn at Two shillings & six pence per- bushel and barley molt at Two Shillings and six pence per bushel or in other good merchantable pay at money price. -

The warrant to the constables for ye warning of the Town meet- ing on may ye 16. 1704 was as followes.
To ye constable or constables of the Town of Braintry Greeting you or either of you are in her majesties name Required forthwith to warn and give notice to the freeholders and other Inhabitants within ye Precinct of your said Town Qualifyed according to Law to vote in Town affairs to meet at our meeting house upon Tues- day being ye 16th. day of this Instant month at Eight of ye clock in ye morning then and there to elect & depute one or more persons (being freeholders & resident in ye said Town) according to ye number set & Limited by an act of ye General Assembly to serve for and Represent them in a great & General Court or assembly apointed to be convened held & kept for her majesties service at ye Town house in Boston upon Wednesday ye thirty first day of may ensueing ye date hereof: as also then & there to pass any acts or votes that may be agreed upon referring to ye maintenance of ye Revd. mr. Moses Fisk as to time past & time to come and to do any other Business needful and proper to be done upon said day hereof and of your doeings herein make a true returne under your hand or hands & this shall be your warrant.

They then chose Coll Edmund Quinsey for a selectman to be Joyned with mr. William Rawson, nehemiah Hayden John Webb & Joseph Neall in John Ruggle's Room.

Whereas it was reported at a General Town meeting then assembled that weymouth men had refused to run ye Line be- tween their Town and ours. The freeholders and other Inhabi- tants qualifyed according to Law to vote in Town Affairs then chose Lt. Coll. Edmund Quinsey Lt. John Baxter Ensign William veasey Captain John Mills and Mr. John Webb to be a Commit- tee to Run the Line between ye said Towns according to ye Gen- eral Courts Grant And if they the Selectmen of Weymouth still refuse ye same then the aforesaid Committee to Petition ye Hon- oured Court on ye aforesaid Town of Braintrees behalfe that their may be a settlement of said Line.

The Inhabitants of ye Town of Braintree being Lawfully conveened it was then proposed by ye Moderator that whereas there was Two meeting houses erected in this Town whether the south end shall be a congregation by themselves for the worship and service of God.
It was then voted by ye major part of said Inhabitants on the Affirmative.
The warrant for the meeting on ye 25th of Novembr 1706 was as followeth ;

The Freeholders and Inhabitants of ye sd Town of Braintree Regularly assembled. They then chose Lt. John Baxter their Moderator for that day.
March ye 24th. 1707.
then Voted that the Town's School lands That have heither- unto, been devoted to ye use of the Schools, in this Town, shall lye for the use of the school in this Town for ever.
