A small place, population 30, settled in 1876, on Intermediate river, in the town- ship of same name, Antrim county. It is 9 miles north of Bellaire, the county seat, and 16 northwest of Mancelona, on the G. R. & I. R. R., its shipping station. It was settled in 1856, in town 16 north, range 1 west, near the northern county line, 19 miles from Midland City, 39 northwest of Saginaw and 12 north of Sanford's station, on the F. & P. M. Rv. EDENVILLE.
Located at the confluence of the Titta- bawassee and Tobacco rivers, in Midland county, is a village claiming 400 inhabit- ants, chiefly engaged in lumbering. It was settled in 1856, in town 16 north, range 1 west, near the northern county line, 19 miles from Midland City, 39 northwest of Saginaw and 12 north of Sanford's station, on the F. & P. M. Ry. Bank, Anderson Bros., Midland. Land in the region, from $1 to $75 per acre. Stage to Sanford's daily; fare. 75 cents; to Gladwin weekly, fare $1.50. Mail, semi-weekly. R. Dun- tou, postmaster.

R. It has 2 steam saw-mills, a shingle mill, a Metho- dist church and one store. Bank at Ithaca. Shipments, lumber and farm produce. Settled 1855. Population, 35. W. R. Wight, postmaster.

EDMORE.
A lively incorporated village of about 800 population, platted in May, 1878, and located at the crossing of the Stanton Br. of the D., L. & N. and the C. S. & C. rail-
roads, in Home township, northern part of Montcalm county. It is 9 miles north of Stanton, 33 north of Ionia, 67 via Ionia from Grand Rapids, and 155 from Detroit. This young and thrifty settlement is situ- ated in a region of dense pine forests, and is the site of extensive lumber interests. It contains a foundry and machine shop, and has a large number of saw and shingle mills in its immediate vicinity. There are 4 hotels. 2 weekly newspapers, organiza- tions of Congregationalists. Baptists and Methodists, a good graded public school, with 175 pupils, and stores representing almost every variety of merchandise, with numerous small industries. A number of business places and dwellings are now in process of erection. Lumber, lath and shingles form the only shipments. Ex- press, American. Telegraph, Western Union. Mail, daily.
