This. is the location of 4 churches-Metho- dist, Catholic, Baptist and Seventh Day Adventists-1 graded school of 4 depart- ments, 2 hotels, 1 public hall, 1 flour mill, 2 barrel hoop factories, 1 flour mill and several substantial business and professional firms. Plymouth is location of nearest bank. The press is represented by the Visi- tor and Republican. "The former was the first paper established here, has a good cir- culation and is ably edited. WARSAW. Pleasantly situated on line of P., Ft. W. & C. and C., W. & M. R'ys, is the county seat of Kosciusko county, and contains a population of 3,500. It is a very prosperous incorporated city within sight of the Tippecanoe river, surrounded by an exceedingly rich agricultural district. It is a very pleasant summer resort, the chief attraction in that respect being 3 beau- tiful lakes, known as Pike, Eagle and Cen- tre Lakes. A large number of pleasure seekers frequent the city every summer. The court house now under construction will be, when completed, a magnificent structure, and will compare favorably with any like building in the State; proposed cost, $200,000. The city is lighted by gas, has many substantial business blocks, hand- some residences, excellent schools, a public library, 5 churches-Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Methodist and Christian-and 3 hotels, prominent among which are the Occidental and Wright House. Warsaw supports 2 banks, 1 daily and 3 weekly newspapers, the National Union and Repub- lican are issued weekly, while the Northern Indianian is issued both daily and weekly. The principal manufactories are composed of 2 foundry and machine shops, 1 planing mill, a bung factory, 1 saw mill, 2 flour mills, 1 cooper shop, 1 bent wood factory, and a furniture factory. This city is noted for its healthy climate and surroundings, and is one of the most noted and pleasantly situated summer resorts in Northern Indi- ana. Ex., Adams and Am. Tel., W. U. John N.
