WINDFALL. This thrifty, incor- porated town of 800 inhabitants is located in Wildcat township, Tipton county, on the P., C. & St. L. R'y, 7 miles north of Tipton, the county seat and banking town. This town, for its size, is the busiest business place in the State, its business and pro- fessional men are energetic, industrious and liberal. The prominent features here are 2 churches -- Methodist and Christian-a good graded school, 1 hotel, 1 barrel-hoop factory, 1 flour mill, 1 stave factory, 2 saw mills, 2 wagon material factories, 1 tile yard and stump-puller works. Its require- ments are a heading factory, brick yard and bank. The last mentioned, with a capital of $25,000 would prove a very profit- able investment. WORTHINGTON. Seventy-two miles southwest of Indianapolis, is a thrifty growing town of 1,300 inhabitants, located in Jefferson township, Greene county, on the I. & V. and T. H. & S. E. R. R's, 8 miles northwest of Bloomfield court house. The town is on White river, at its conflu- ence with Eel river, which gives it most excellent water power. The bottom lands along these rivers are very rich and pro- ductive. It was settled in 1850, incorpor- ated a town in 1870, and now contains 6 churches, a graded school, public hall, 1 bank and 3 hotels. Of the last mentioned the Osborn House is decidedly the best. It is centrally located, and its table is first class. One weekly newspaper-The Times- is sustained. The manufacturing interests are represented by 3 flour mills; 1 pottery, 1 planing mill, 1 stave factory, 1 saw mill and 1 cooper shop. Grain, live stock and coal are exported. Ex., Adams. Tel., W.
