MOON &. NICKERSON'S
MAP AND CHART CASE
AFRICA
-
PARTLY OPEN.
We call the attention of TRUSTEES and other SCHOOL OFFICERS to the fact that a good and efficient Apparatus for
Preserving Map Charts, Etc., in the School Room,
Has at last been provided. That the cumbersome methods of ROLLING and UNROLLING Maps and Charts for exhibition, and the useless ex- penditure of time in referring to the different Maps have been dis- posed of by the simple invention represented by the above cut.
The back frame is securely fastened to the wall of the SCHOOL ROOM OR OFFICE by means of Malleable Iron Lugs securely fastened to back frame, and Steel Wire Nails driven in the wall.
The front frame and leaves are hinged to a common centre, and are pivoted or hinged to the rear stationary frame. The Case then opens LIKE A LARGE BOOK, with one back nailed to the wall.
MAPS, CHARTS,~
Or any other engraved or printed matter, may be pasted upon the surfaces of these leaves, which are made of THREE-PLY WOOD VENEERS, GLUED TOGETHER, WITH CENTRE VENEER TRANSVERSE THE TWO OUTSIDE VENEERS.
Patented June 8, 1880; January 11, 1881, and November 8, 1881.
