He m., Sept. 7, 1875, Ellen Amanda Seward, dau. of Joseph B. and Lydia (Jefts) Seward. She was born in S., May 9, 1855, and d., Sept. 24, 1905, at the sanitarium for consumptives in Dorchester, Mass., as the widow of Charles Elijah Shattuck, whom she had married subse- quently to Mr. Barrett's death. Her body was buried in Brookline, N. H. See Ellen A. Seward.

Willoughby, b. in Amherst, June 24, 1820; d. in Munsonville, Nov. 16, 1881 ; a sister of the former wife, and dau. of Daniel and Elizabeth (Foster) Peacock. After leaving S., he m. 3d, in Munsonville, by F. Taylor, Esq., Aug. 10, 1882, Mrs. Elizabeth (Reed) Conant, then 62, b. in Charles- town, the dau. of Henry Reed, formerly and later of Stoddard. She is living with her dau., Mrs. Rose Gorham, in Vermont. Mr. Barrett lived in S., 1859- 1878, at 202. He d. in Munsonville, Mar. 29, 1885, burial in S., in Meetinghouse Cemetery.
