Dec. 19, 1776, presumably in Belchertown, Mass .; d. in Chesterfield, Feb. 3, 1848. He lived several years, ab. 1799 to 1804, in S., at 225. He was a farmer and laborer. He had several wives, but his marriages, divorces, and marital relations have not been de- termined with precision. His first wife, m. ab. 1799, was Nancy Alexander of Winchester. She was the mother of the first three ch. The mother of the fourth ch. was Philadelphia De Wolf (known as Dilly Dolph), q. v.
