Received his train- ing at Columbus, O., and Camp Merritt, N. J. Sailed overseas January 13, 1918, on the U. S. Agamemnon. Stationed at Gievres, Loir-et-cher, France, Ice Plant Company, No. 301. His duty was convoying supplies to the soldiers at the front. Was in France when the Armistice was signed. Discharged in July, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.
THOMAS EARL HUITT
Private, Machine Gun Company, 311th Infantry, 78th Division, U. S. A. Son of John Franklin Huitt, Arkansas. Born September 1, 1888. Address, 6251/2 East Adams street, Springfield. Entered service April 29, 1918. Received his training at Camp Dix, N. J. Sailed overseas May 20, 1918. In action in the St. Mihiel, Argonne Forest. Gassed October 19, 1918, in the Argonne Forest, and sent to Hospital where he remained until about January 1, 1919, when he returned to his company.
