Entered service October 3, 1917, in Springfield, Ill. Received his training at Camp Taylor, Ky., where he was assigned to Battery A, 327th Field Artillery, 84th Division. Transferred to Bat- tery A, 21st Field Artillery, February 6, 1918, and sent to Leon Springs, Tex., and later to Camp McArthur, Waco, Tex. Sailed overseas May 25, 1918. In action in St. Mihiel Drive. Cited for accuracy in preparing firing data during St. Mihiel Drive, while acting as Fire Corporal. Also received divisional citation. Was at Murvaux, France, when the Armis- tice was signed. Discharged July 29, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.

Private, 222nd Field Signal Battalion, U. S. A. Son of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Reichert, Pleasant Plains, Ill. Born April 28, 1889, near Ashland, Ill. Entered service June 15, 1918, in Springfield, Ill. Received his training at Rahe Army Auto School, Kansas City, Mo., Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., and Camp Meade, Md. Was at Camp Meade, Md., when the Armistice was signed. Discharged January 17, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.


JOHN ANTHONY REISER


Corporal, Infantry, U. S. A. Son of Ben and Augusta Reiser, New Berlin, Ill. Born December 31, 1894, in Pleasant Plains, Ill. Entered service September 19, 1917, in Springfield, Ill. Received his training at Camp Taylor, Ky., Camp Pike, Ark., and Camp Dix, N. J. Sailed overseas August 24, 1918. Stationed at Camp Windle Down, England, and Montoir, France. Was in Montoir, France, when the Armistice was signed. Discharged April 17, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.

Indiana, stationed at Philadelphia, Pa. Was at Philadelphia, Pa., when the Armistice was signed. Transferred to the U. S. S. Adams, and was stationed at Marine Basin, Brooklyn, N. Y ..
