Received his training at Niagara, Ontario, Canada, and Purfleet Essex, London, England. Sailed overseas in August, 1918, from Montreal on the S. S. Casandria. Was in England when the Armistice was signed. Discharged in January, 1919.

Received his training at Camp Taylor. Ky., and Camp Sevier, Greenville, S. C. Was at Camp Sevier when the Armistice was signed. Discharged May 16, 1919, at Camp Sevier, S. C.

SANGAMON COUNTY DRAFT BOARD CONTINGENT.


Reported 2 p. m., September 19, 1917, and left on early train September 20, 1917, for Camp Taylor, Ky. The Thayer delegation, part of largest Draft Contingent to go up to this time. Delegations from Thayer, Divernon and Auburn brought their boys up and headed by the Divernon Band paraded the streets of Springfield.
