Assigned to First Provisional Wing for Defense of New York, doing patrol work. Received orders for overseas, October 24, 1918, and was assigned to Leviathan, but Armistice prevented his sailing. Discharged December 5, 1919, at Hoboken, N. J.

Attended Third Corps School in Clamecy, France, September 1 to 20. In action again in Meuse-Argonne Offensive, and was in the Troyon Sector when the Armistice was signed. Attended First Corps School at Gondrecourt, France, November 17, 1918, until January, 1919. With Army of Occupation in Luxemburg, and com- missioned Captain while there, April 24, 1919. Discharged June 16, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.
