Entered service June 2, 1918, in Springfield, Ill. Received his training at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and Camp Lee, Va. Stationed at Base Hospital, Camp Lee, when the Armistice was signed. Duty at Hospital was to inspect the meats and other fragile food stuffs for the sick and wounded. Discharged July 7, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill.
