Washington College

This Institution occupies a commanding site adjoin- ing the Village of Washington, Alameda County, Cal. It is in the center of a rich agricultural district, oc= cupied by an intelligent and enterprising community. The view from the grounds extends many miles along the San Jose Valley, and embraces the larger part of the Bay of San Francisco, and the shores and villages beyond. In the background, at a distance of two miles, rises the mountain range which forms the eastern boundary of the valley. A more inviting and appro= priate location, with a range of scenery so wide and varied, cannot be found in the State.

The Location of Washington College

Is within two hundred yards of the Washington Station of the San Jose branch of the C. P. R. R., and may be reached in an hour and a half from San Francisco.

It is easily accessible from all parts of the State,

By railway from San Jose, Hollister, Santa Cruz and the Salinas Valley, and from the great San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys, by the Southern Pacific and the Central Pacific Railroads.

It has a large corps of experience d and most efficient teachers. On January 8th, 1880, it commenced its sixteenth Session. The pres- ent term will close May 26th. The next Term will commence on Thurs- day, July 20th, 1880.
